Hey all. Quick question from a new truck guy.

I'm picking up my new Ram this week... 2021 1500 classic express night edition.

Since it's the classic style I'm assuming it's the 4th gen? So when I'm looking for parts on websites that aren't updated I can search for 2018? No drastic changes to a 2021 in comparison to say a 2013, 16, 18 etc???

Thanks! Really looking forward to getting my hands on my first ever truck :driver:

If it's a 2021 Classic then it's considered a 4th Gen truck still.

Yeah, these Classics can be a pain looking for stuff since the years overlap. With my 2019, I usually just search 2018. Some websites are showing the the 1500 Classics now.

With Rams considered 4th Gen

2009 & 2010 Ram 1500, had a different rear differential than the 2011 & newer

2013 Ram 1500s changed transmissions & Grille shape & about that time the front bumpers changed slightly

somewhere near 2018, Ram 1500s changed the premier radio to have more functions
The rear bumper shape may have changed also

I did not keep up with the changes in electronics

HaHa, I never thought about that. My 2004 Ram 1500 and both of my Glocks are 3rd Gen...

A few Glock people here so here goes my rant.

Bought my first Glock (G21 Gen 2) on my way home from work on 9/11/2001. I was living in NJ and from the roof of the hospital I worked at, (St Mary's in Passaic) I saw 2nd plane crash and both towers fall with my own eyes. Nobody knew what was coming next.

Then bought two G30, both Gen3 and a second G21 Gen3 and lots of mags

I like .45ACP for a carry gun.
Winter, I carry G21 and backup w/ G30. Same mags, same cal.
Summer, both G30's, primary & bug.

Then a G34 Gen3 'cause that's what the cops were carrying. .40 cal.

Then a G40 in 10mm to hunt deer and monsters.

Finally last yr bought my first 9mm G19 Gen4. I know, that's what most people buy first
Then his little brother, a G26.
Thought I'd try liking 9mm. I prefer the .45's. Less rounds but they make big holes. My guns, my choice. Never understood why amybody would carry a bug in a different caliber.
One is none.
Big, fat & slow gets the job done.

Main reason I carry Glocks is they always go bang. The only weapons I own in any caliber that haven't stovepiped, ftf, fte. All Glocks I own have never had any of those.
I think they're ugly, too fat, too sloppy but that's why they always shoot.

I yeild the rest of my time back. Sorry for the rant.168e1f8554bc042f87784875eb494c59.jpg

Glocks feed, fire and eject. But they're certainly not the only ones to do so.

Glocks are the Casio watch of the firearms world. They work. They're somewhat disposable. A Colt 1911 is an Heirloom to be cherished and handed down.

This may be my personal bias, but the 4th gen Warlocks are the best looking trucks on the road right now!

I agree 100%.

I own 3 1911's, a Kimber and two Springfield Armory, a Loaded and a Range Officer. I love all of them but at one time or another, they've all jammed on me. I stopped carying them mostly. I will attend a BBQ carrying openly with one.

Would the used P220 I bought about15 yrs ago be a W. German Sig? If so, I'm covered.

They're all just tools to me. I don't own any "collectable" guns. Maybe my 6" Python. All the rest are tools. I don't sweat the small dings. I'd go crazy if I did.

Yeah, I know my G19 is going to fire every single time I pull the trigger. I do not have similar faith in my 1911. I even have a Ruger SR9, SR9c and a Kahr CM9 that have never malfunctioned, but my 1911 has numerous times. I still like it, I just don't trust it much. lol
