Hey RAM crew, my 1st post... I finally bought a used 2016 RAM. After taking a 17 Sport and 17 Rebel for a ride the price point was a bit out of my range and the dealership wouldn't budge so I went down a year and looked at 16s.

I found a 2016 RAM Laramie Limited with 57k on it. White with all the chrome moldings etc... I ended up getting this truck at 4.5k less than the two 17s. This is the nicest truck I have ever owned and the smoothest riding truck as well. Of course day 10 and the "Service Engine" light popped on this morning during my commute so I have to get that taken care of but over all, I'm loving this truck. Can't wait to haul my camper this weekend.

Welcome to RamForum.

You can get that code read at a local auto parts store - many do it for free - so write it down then share it with us here. We can help diagnose and repair the issue.

Called my dealer and brought to the garage. Ended up being a fuel level sensor. He cleared it out and if it pops on again, bring it in for replacement.

Yeah, keep an eye on your fuel gauge. This seems to be the age/mileage range when the level sensor goes bad in the fuel tank. The book fix is to replace the whole fuel pump / sending unit, even though the level sensor portion can be replaced on it's own. There's a ton of threads on this and youtube videos.

Hi @SnowRam50 - Should you ever need to work with your dealer again, we are always a private message away and more than happy to get you connected with a specialist for an additional layer of support during that process.
