So I got a question. I had a squeeling pump, I changed the pump and put it ALL back together and fixed the squeel. Now I Just drove the truck a few miles an got it up to temp and it's leaking from one of the bolts. It's a moderate leak but after a few minute it stops leaking coolant.
Now where I may have an I'm almost sure where I f*cked up is I put the wrong bolt in the wrong hole (there's one Longass bolt, 3 long bolts, and 3 short bolts). I think I put one of the regular bolts in the Longass hole and now it's leaking. I RTV'd it properly and put er on but now I got a leak. 1999 1500 5.2l automatic
What do you guys think?
Thanks -nate

If anyone knows which bolts go where that'd be a big help.
Turned out that remanufactured water pump was defective cause it started squeeling just a day after installation. Now I gotta do it all gain with the new pump -_-

sorry i cant remember off hand make sure u get a brand new one not a reman they for some reason do that sometimes i have had alot do it its the cheap seals and bearings they use in them remans just make sure to take your time this time and figure out what bolts go where before you tighten it all down and use just a little high temp sealant on each side of the gasket a thin layer will be plenty good luck this time around
