Just thinking out loud about my next set of tires. I'm running the 1500 Express Black Truck edition. It has 20x8 alloys with 5.2" backspacing. No spacers right now and I run 295/60 Nitto Terra Grapplers. I like the tires, so I'll probably be sticking with them or the Toyo AT2s.

My dilemma is tire size. I'll be installing a 4" Superlift with bilsteins at .7" or 1.4". So I'll have plenty of clearance. I'm thinking a 290/65r20 will fill it out better than a 35x12.50 and less chance of rubbing on a control arm or sway bar (right now I rub on the sway bar a little at full lock turned driver. Zero rub turned passengers).

What say the masses? I know the difference is minimal, but it's about 3/4" difference. Silly "dilemma" but not a bad one to have

Facing a similar dilemma though I won't need tires for a while...........my question is what's the better trade off, more weight or more height? I like the specs on the 295/65/20's but I worry about the ride. I currently have 285/65/20 BFG KO2's and they firm up the ride just a bit (weight rating of like 3870 lbs @80 psi). I am thinking a 35 x12.50 20 would ride better as they typically have a 3195 lbs @ 65 psi. Kicker is the 35's weigh a bit more than the 295's. What to do???????? Throw a 325/60/20 in just to make things worse!!!! Decisions, decisions............

Luckily I just bought the KO2's this year so they will suffice for atleast a year or 2!

Keep in mind what gear you have. If you plan on changing then it doesn't matter. 35's killed my trucks torque and puts me in between gears at cruising speeds. 295/65's will be worse.
