No communication

I purchased a h&s mini maxx with EGR PDF delete kit when we finished installing everything we tried logging on to the trucks computer. I got a message that indicated that it's not communicating with the truck. I pulled my scanner out plugged it in and it wouldn't communicate either, my son was helping me and he got his scanner out and got the same results. I've tried everything I could think of any help or anyone that has had the same problem and could point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated thank you

At what point did the not communicating come up...as soon as you plugged the mini MAXX in, or at some point during the loading of the tune
