Hello, first post here. Iv got a 2006 ram 2500 with 5.7 hemi. Has a small aftermarket cam and custom tuning and it has ran great previously. I ran the truck low on oil and collapsed a lifter. I pulled the heads and replaced the lifters and ended up installing reman heads that were milled .020 with a factory head gasket at .029 thickness which should have slightly increased the compression ratio. I am not getting any compression out of the engine, starter spins the engine over freely. I installed shims under the rocker arms and was able to get compression back but valve train noise is worse than ever. I soaked the lifters for about an hour before install. Can the lifters be locked in a built up position acting like like flat tappet. I've removed the shims and compression is gone again. I've tried waiting for the lifters to bleed down but after 24 hours I have one cylinder with compression and no signs of life from any others. Am I at the point I need to pull the heads and lifters bleed them off and try again?
