Have a 99 v8 Dodge Dakota Sport. Got hit in the tail end, barely any damage. Drove home fine and ran fine. Next morning I go to start it up, had dash lights and all, but when I turned to start a very noticeable clunk or pop happened. The truck now has no power whatsoever, dash lights, headlights, dome lights, hazards, nada for the past few days. I have disconnected the battery, reconnected it, cleaned terminals, etc. Not entirely sure what would cause this. Definitely a first for me.
Any ideas?

My best guess is the impact was enough to upset electrical connectors and/or ground connections. I think all you can do is start tracing power back from the battery to each fuse. It is a start.

Since you have a total blackout, I would look for a battery ground issue first.

Will start there then! Thank you! I'll keep everything posted as I go down the line.

Finally got to it today. Went through every ground fuse, everything. On the positive terminal of the battery was a green wire, going through the firewall into the dash. Turns out that was going to the radio, also connected by a yellow wire on the end into the radio. Turns out the bolts going into the terminal plate we're hand loose (Big Ol Facepalm)
Didn't even think to check if those got knocked loose. Have changed the position of wire and tightened more. Thanks very much for your help!
