Swapped my intake a couple weeks ago, and I'm less than impressed with the results. No tune yet as I'm still waiting on my backordered headers to come in. Not only is there no noticeable power gain, I'm pretty sure I actually lost some pull, especially in the mid to upper range of the power band. Using the OBDLink performance mode, (understanding that it's not likely very accurate, but after multiple pulls seems to be pretty consistent) it confirms that it's not just a seat of the pants loss, but actual loss. Tests were run on the same stretch of road and both days (before and after) temp/humidity was very similar. I'm using my stock 5.7 injectors, and I cleaned/tested all of them. Other than the intake, truck is basically stock performance wise and there are no codes.
I know I need a tune, and WILL get one when I install my headers/exhaust, I just expected to gain SOMETHING even with the stock tune!
Also, I did use the SRV that came with the intake (used), and I would ASS-ume that it would throw a code if that weren't operating correctly?
Any other thoughts??

Honestly I would expect a loss of power without tuning and supporting mods. Aren’t the runners actually tuned to the larger displacement of the 6.4, which consequently you can’t take advantage of without mods?
This makes sense to me, and very well may be the case. Just wasn’t what I was expecting given everything that I have read prior to the install.

As a follow up for anybody who might run into this in the future, this is a quote straight from Ryan @ FRP
SDC did a bunch of dyno testing with the 6.4 manifold swap, and there's not as big an increase as everybody claims there is even after tuning. It was about 7hp and 8 lb-ft differance under 5,000 rpm,and even less above 5,000 rpm on a healthy fairly big cammed 5.7.There seems to be a few dyno tests that claim 20 lb-ft,but i've always questioned those tests,as it's hard to see just an intake swap creating 20 more lb-ft of torque

I think some folks like inflating their gains along with their egos!
