Thought I'd say hello after lurking for awhile. I'm currently shopping for a TV. And trying to stay within a 1500. It's a bit of a challenge, but with my math I think I have it narrowed. Just trying to find one with the options we want, (crewcab, leather, 3.92, 4x4, 1480lbs or more payload.) It's been a little tough.

I keep thinking a bigger truck is a no brainer, but I want to make the lighter truck work.

Anyhow, we're going to be towing a lot. As my wife and I have sold everything in our house and the house to travel fulltime in a 27ft Airstream.

I've been a life long chevy guy, matter of fact we currently have 3 GM's I'm unloading. Pontiac G8 GXP, Corvette and my lifted Trailblazr on 35's.

Saddly, the Silverado's are unimpressive. They're boring. Beige is a word I'd use. Snooze fest. I like all kinds of cars, despite the brand loyalty, a friend let me drive his 2013 Sport around for a couple days and I was in love.

I just love the look of the car, the hemi doesn't hurt. And if I do end up with a larger truck (stupid math) the cummins is probably the best choice.

Well.... Cheers. :favorites13:

Welcome aboard. If your planning on pulling a 27ft camper all the time. I would go ahead and invest in a 2500 with either the 6.4 or Cummins. Just to be on the safe side

Yup...Cummins, you won't regret it when it comes to mountains, especially on the down side. (Engine/exhaust brake) BTW...Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome. Thought I'd share some pictures of the GM's that are all going to fund our dreams.

I have an older picture, that shows everything in one shot in their home :)

However this is my favorite picture of the Trailblazer

And my favorite of the GXP

:) But I've got them all listed. We found the Ram we want, with the options we wanted, got the build sheet from Dodge, verified the vin, and are having it shipped from Salt Lake City Utah. Was shipped on the 24th, so may be here this week but I'm thinking with the 4th it will be the beginning of next week. Going to be our first truck. have a few mods planned. Just sad I can't swap my Method Race Rims over, I freaking love them. Oh well.
