I'm currently running super lift 2" coils, they're probably sitting over 2.5" of total lift. What is the best riding rear coil option that'll provide between 1-2" of actual lift. I'm trying to improve ride quality. I have new Bilstein 5100s up front, 4600 series in the rear with the superlift coils. It rides terrible. It hops anytime I go over a bump in the road, causing the rear end to skip over bumps and be rather sketchy around corners on the highway. I'm still running factory control arms in the rear. Front uppers were replaced with a set designed for 2-4" lift. Still running factory swaybars and end links front and rear. I've replaced the rear track back with a heavy duty adjustable one. I'm at 100k miles, so in the near future I'd like to replace the rear control arms. I'm also running factory sized tires, 275/60r20.
I'm near the point of removing the superlift coils, and putting the OEM back in with a 1" spacer, but I'm considering waiting until I replace the rear control arms to swap the springs back out.
So what are are some ideas to improve ride quality so it's not so harsh over bumps, and more controlled.

I've tried BDS 3" coils, Superlift 2" coils and stock coils with a 2" spacer. IMO I liked the ride from the stock coils and 2" spacers the best. The BDS 3" coils would lock my seat belt over every little bump.

I have the Icon 1.5” lift springs, been happy with ride & haven’t had any noticeable settling, but only haul the occasional piece of furniture my wife finds/wants & don’t tow.
I have seen mixed reviews on them here but believe most of the negative ones are from members who use their trucks haul or tow frequently.
Mine have been installed about 4 years.

Probably worth mentioning that ride comfort is subjective and Bilsteins are digressive.

I am a big fan of the Eibach rear coils that are +1" and also the ICON coils that are +1.5". Also are you using a shock spacer or running a taller 4600? If not that will add to the bad ride as the 4600 is not long enough. I would upgrade the rear shock as well.

Message me for more info and a quote. We offer lot of suspension brands and can help piece together a better setup!

Recently removed air-ride from mine. In the rear I went with the Bilstein B12 springs and 5100's and it resulted in +2" in the rear. Haven't hauled or towed anything as of yet. Highway, city and beach driving have been great.

I did add an extension to the rear shock because I did think that was part of my issue. Without the spacer, at ride height, the shock with bottom bolt removed would only extend about 2".

I've ordered a set of rancho rs7mt to replace the 4600s. I've read they're either linear or progressive valved depending on where you read.

Just to follow up, I ended up ordering a set of OEM ORP coils from a 5th gen. Price was only $30 a coil, and dropped ride in, netting 1.5" of lift. That might settle out to a little less after the springs settle some more, but it's right where I wanted to be. Hard to beat a set of OEM coils for that price, part number 68262684AB.

I just installed a set of OEM standard coils from a 5th gen, 68262682AB on my '15 RCSB hoping it would be lower and softer than the Eibach lift coils I had on there.. well it's a softer ride I'll give 'em that but it lifted the back of the truck even more to about 2.5" total lift (26" measured from hub to top of wheel arch, vs 25.25 with the Eibach coils, vs 23.5 stock)

I haven't been able to find RCSB coils for sale anywhere, trying to go back to stock height. I might need to buy lowering coils, maybe they'll be just right.

Try some jeep gladiator springs. They drop right in and are softer rate so should bring the rear back down. Usually you can find them super cheap or even free from people who lift their jeep. They never go back to stock so practically give the factory suspension away.

I mean, the rcsb is significantly lighter than a 5th gen quad or crew cab truck.

Synergy MFG has 1" gladiator coils that are multi rate. They list free length as well at about 19.375 ". Unfortunately they're darn expensive.

It's been a minute since I looked at what the OEM rear coil specs are but maybe they are an option. I can only imagine how difficult it is to find RCSB specific parts.

Best coils so far are my 6.5" Jeep Gladiator EVO dual rate.

Nothing beats soft ass rear end with bags . Smoothest ride ever.

I just fitted Rock Krawler RK07328 3in lift coils on mine and they are the closest I've gotten to the factory air ride in comfort.

How much if any lift did they add?

I am not sure. My measurement is 23in on one side and 24in on the other; center of hub to quarter panel lip. I have a track bar drop bracket in the mail to hopefully alleviate the bind and equalize left to right.

It won't,the trucks are designed to be lower on the drivers side so they sit level on the road crown. You can play around all you want, but it's tough to get them to sit level
And no it has nothing to do with the fuel tank,as the tank sits inside the frame rails and is very close to the center of the truck, plus the engine and transmission are offset a couple inches towards the pass side of the truck. You can tell the engine and transmission are offset, just by looking at the floorboards, there's alot more room on the drivers side footwell then the passenger side footwell

Interesting, my driver side is the taller one
