Not registering being in park

I have started having a problem recently. 2013 1500 Laramie hemi. I get in and the truck cranks and drives now issues, then when I put it in park and try to turn it off, I get a message saying vehicle not in park. Shifter is in park, can let off brake and truck doesn’t move. After about 1-2 minutes of sitting at idle in park I can press the button and the truck turns off like normal. Happens every time now. Anybody else experience anything similar?

My Durango did this periodically. It was never that bad and it was traded in before it got worse. I hate the turn dials. My wifes Pacifica has it and I swear its possessed. You can put it in drive after starting it up, it goes for a brief second and then into neutral for 5 plus seconds before it decides it wants to be in drive. I have hill assist on because of our driveway and it is always digging or ****** at me for something.
