So since I bought my truck I have had nothing but issues with various things. I am at the dealership at least every couple of weeks to get a new problem fixed. After talking with the service manager he agreed that this is totally unacceptable for a 6 month old truck. He said they are going to get this latest issue fixed and going forward he wants me to deal with him directly. He has not heard or experienced anyone having this many issues with such a new vehicle.

This dealership is one of the biggest in the country so they sell alot of these trucks. He told me if I keep having issues he is going to push Chrysler for a buy back. If that happens I might go with a new SRT charger. So im on the fence if I should return back to bone stock and sell my mods or keep them on and see what happens. With all the issues I am not very comfortable running a tune thats for sure.

if you don't get it under the lemon law its not going to be easy to turn back in unless the dealer is willing. Otherwise sell it for what you owe and get something else. me I wouldn't touch a 2013 or up with all the issues going on. I'm happy with my 2011 with only issues I caused.

Ya no lemon laws in Canada. We go to mediation. A non vested third party rules on what the outcome should be. I have been to the service department for 12 different issues in 6 months. Im sure the issues will continue to pile up.

If it's going to go... take your mods off and go back stock. They won't really give you more. Might even get less.

Personally, I'm not sure I would buy something that someone I didn't know messed with it.

Just saying.

Wow. Sorry to hear about this. What kind of problems are you having that can't be fixed?

As far as mods, like anything else, sell them if you're sure you aren't going to use them.

Various electrical issues atm. The rest are all minor accept the engine knocking which the dealership needs to investigate further. If the issues stop piling up then I would be happy keeping it. All I can do is wait and see. It seems like there was no quality inspection when it rolled out of the manufacturer.

My dad has his second appointment with the dealership on wednesday in roughly 3 weeks of owning the truck (2104 1500 Laramie Longhorn). For some reason the outside temperature gauge keeps being screwy. Today it was saying it was 15*C out when really it was closer to 0*C. This is the second time its happened and was "fixed" with a new sensor the first time it was in. The first time around the check engine light was on as well. Very odd what its doing. My 2014 sport has been great so far. I have a vibration when i am over 60mph but i believe its from the new tires and wheels i just got. Either a balancing issue or something minor like that.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Hopefully it gets sorted out soon.

I'd sell the mods. That's unexpectable in my opinion. But they all can't be perfect, I hope you get it solved soon!

My dad is never content with any vehicle for too long and even when it's ordered just the way he likes, it ends up further modified somehow. Nothing wrong it that. It's the American way. I'm telling you this because the salesman he's done business with for the past 20 years always says the same thing... Don't trade it in with anything aftermarket. In most cases you'll never see any of the added value reflected on trade in price... And in other instances it will devalue the truck.

Now, you're dealing with the Canadian version of 'Lemon Law', so what I said may not apply. This is just my $0.02.

Take it in. You usually get a free alignment within a year or 20,000 km's.

Sometimes the alignment is off new. Has to do with how they are strapped down on trains and auto carriers.

I got rid of the stock wheels and tires days after I bought the truck. :) but thanks for the response. I'm gonna have to take it back where I got my new ones mounted and installed.

Well you have a '13 so if you were to get a new ram your mods might be compatible but definitely don't give them up with the truck if you get rid of it, won't get your money back on them. Here on the RF there is always somebody willing to spend a few bucks from another member.

Sorry to hear about your frustrations.
What if this last trip fixes everything, and you sold your mods off at a loss? That would bite. Hold onto'em until you're prepping the truck to go back.

True. I just hate driving around on a stock tune and having to look at my tuner every day staring at me. I dont want to load up my HF tune until I know the issues are gone.
