I traded in my '09 for a '14 1500 about a month ago. It is a big horn with navigation (I believe that means I have 8.4AN). In the next week, I had numerous issues including:
1. Service Tire Pressure System (no reading for any tire).
2. Clock would lose time. Didn't matter if the 'sync with gps' was active or not. Either way - it would lose minutes.
3. Service vehicle phone. This would then show a red light on the rearview mirror by the Assist and 911 buttons.
4. Navigation would get lost. It would show me driving in a lake or on roads that were about an hour away.
5. Keyfob would not work unless you were within 3 feet of the truck. Remote start would not work at all. Replaced battery but did not improve results.
It has made a few trips to the local dealer (not where I bought it though) as it is still under warranty. They tried a few things that worked for a short time, then ended up replacing the R/F unit. That worked for a short time, but then same problems starting occurring again. They also ordered a new key fob, but it has the same issues as the other fob. They just replaced the radio (not sure what parts that all include) and everything worked....for a day.
Looks like some of the problems may have been corrected, but not all of them. Current issues:
1. Keyfob only works when you are very close to truck, although batteries are fine.
2. Service tire pressure system (does not give a reading for any tire).
3. Not sure if this is related, but with new radio - I had sirius stations. I assumed this was a free trial period (as this has happened on previous purchases), but once the above problems started happening - I no longer have any sirius stations.
I just looked at the software version and it shows 15.26.1
I don't think that is the latest, but not sure if an update will fix everything or if I should even attempt it. Dealer has had it about 4 different times so I am thinking they need to figure it out! Willing be calling them soon.
Any suggestions/input???
Thanks in advance!
