OBD port problem

Hi all. so i had to remove my buypass cable. i have to let the dealer plug in to the truck. anyway i broke one of the tabs that hold it in. thinking about just gluing it in after the dealer. i only removed it so they could connect to the pcm. i dont care if they know it was there. i guess ill just leave it in. in the future and let the stock obd hange loose. how hard would it be to install a new obd on the cable?

You can get obd2 kit with just the connector and pin inserts. Write down wire placement, than pop out the pins from old port, if any pins need replaced, do so, then push pins into new port till you hear a click. Bam easy peasy
