So I've been having problems with my obd2 in my truck to the point where I'm scared to get a tuner. What happens is that some of the wires inside the connector are loose I guess? So when I connect my code reader, i have to push the wires in from the back of the connector to make it "connect" or get power. Then if it moves a certain way, it'll loose power. Anybody know how to remedy this? I don't want to get a tuner then while uploading tunes, the whole thing looses power and crash my ECM or something. Anybody know what'll help?

You will have to look at the connector and try to figure out why the wires are coming out.
Is the connector broken, wires not pushed in all the way to lock them in?

The connector might be broken. I'm going to go out and check now. Maybe I can get some pictures if something broke.

So it's this pink wire that keeps popping out. And the white/green one next to it. Any clue on how to fix this? Or an I going to have to go to the dealer?

I have no idea as to why its not in the connector. It's like the things that locks in the wires doesn't work or something. I'd rather not epoxy it in. I can't fix it now though, going out of town tonight.

I dont think the dealer sells replacement pins but thats what your gonna need. Maybe an electrical supply hub, but yes do not try any flashing of the PCM till thats fixed.

No, No the wire is not coming out of the pin, the pic is coming out of the whole connector assembly. I noticed that the little while piece on the connector slides, the purpose of which? I'm guessing that it locks the pins in the connector but I don"t know.

Yes the pin latch sounds broken from what your saying. Typically metal tabs that spring out to lock into the connector.
