Are their any direct drop ins or are they all gonna be high dollar like the ones offered on retroshop? Of course I want to do it right but if theirs a bulb I can just swap out that would be awesome.

I run Putco Ion Spark bulbs in my factory fogs. They are much brighter than the originals. I bought them from a local 4x4 shop here in Alberta but they are readily available online.

I don't think I have the part number. It's been almost 5 years since I put them in my truck and I probably long since threw out all the packaging. I will take a look for you and advise tho. Also my truck is a 2010. Im not sure if the bulb would be the same for your 2016.

Sorry about the slow reply, got busy here with work. I found my old invoice for the Putco bulbs. I'm not sure which one you will need for your truck but here are the part numbers.

The fog light bulb is a 9145 so you can search for a replacement LED bulb on Amazon or something. Word of caution, the 9145 is very similar to the more popular 9005 bulb and the 9005 is often listed as interchangeable. However, I tried a couple 9005's and they would not fit properly in my fog housing.

I've tried Putco halogens before and they were pretty good bulbs.

Now I use Putco's LED bulbs in the foglights and they work awesome.

I just pulled my fog bulb and it's a 9006 from the factory, what is a good upgrade in a standard halogen bulb for the 9006?

I already did my low and and high beams with Philips H9 and 9011 bulbs and I'm good with the difference they made.

Be aware there is a change in bulbs on the newer years (18-19). The 9006's that are posted above are not for the OP's 2016 truck. Those would be a 9145 like I posted earlier. Just clarifying so no one buys the wrong bulbs

I conquer! I did this ( to all 3, as well ) and it is great!!! You can get replacements easily and they are very bright. MUCH better than stock!!

I still have the Hikari (non-Ultra) waiting to go into my truck. I wish the weather would cooperate.

I used the non ultra in my 2014 fogs, my wife's Altima headlights/fogs, and my father-in-law's 2012 RAM fogs. Great bulbs for the price so far!

My 2016 had 9006 from the factory in the fogs.

So I would suggest, pull one to verify.
