Hi

was there and OEM remote starter for a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500?

If so does anyone know what the Mopar number is/was?

Thanks

Yes, but the likelihood of you finding it is VERY slim...you will need items 1 (which comes with items 2-10) and item 11 (drop the "0" off the beginning of the part number). Good luck. Took me 6-7 months to find the pieces I needed for my 06 Charger like 4yrs ago lol

Time for an eBay alert.

It will show up eventually.

No, it won't LMAO. Had been looking for an oem remote start for the Magnum for going on 3yrs now...was about to go aftermarket but my Charger got wrecked so I can take the one out of it. Been looking for the set for an 05 Ram for the better part of 10yrs.

Why factory only? You can get aftermarket ones for pretty cheap these days. The only reason they get a bad name is because of hack jobs installing them and screwing everything up lol. I installed them for years. Never had an issue with any of them.

Hi

I will likely go the aftermarket route I just have not done much research about what’s available.

I am just looking for something incorporated into the existing key fob.

I do not want another attachment to my keychain.

Then you don't want a factory one anyway lol, look at the diagram, it's a separate small pushbutton

Back when I was doing installs there were systems beginning to come available for Chrysler’s and gms that used the factory remote. I installed a few and they were very easy because they usually just interface into the vehicle’s data network. The only drawback is you’re limited to the factory remote range, which isn’t far at all.

Also you could do a remote start/keyless entry which will have its own remote and much farther range, but you will get rid of your stock remote at the same time.
