Hey guys!

I've been doing some work on the truck recently (heater core). And while I've got the majority of the trim pulled out and waiting for parts, I figured I'd go the extra mile and run new speaker wire from all doors to the front firewall. Once I popped off the inner door panels, I found that I was missing some speaker screws from the last time I was in there. Looked various places for replacements and couldn't find the right size. Went to the dealership today and the screws are discontinued and they had no part number for them. So when I got home today I pulled one of the screws out of the door and zeroed my micrometer for some measuring.

Long story short, I've found what looks like an almost exact replacement for our speaker screws on McMaster Carr. If you're a semi-purist like me and want things just so, here's the measurements I pull:
Screw shaft - 1.0120"
Head height - 0.1375"
Head (w/flange) diameter - 0.4680"
Screw size (diameter) - 0.1885" (#10 or ~3/16")
Threads per inch - ~15

Here's a link to the McMaster-Carr page for the closest I could find if you're needing some. They come in packs of 50 for $6.60. I'll try to remember to update here when I hear back how much my taxes and shipping were.
**Edit - I gues I can't post the link to McMaster-Carr here?**

I realize that many would just throw in some random #10 screws or self tappers or whatever. And that's all good ! I just like to have that extra piece of mind that pain-in-the-butt-to-find screws brings me.

Hey, you got further than I did with finding a part number! You must have a very special book. ( : Haha... I followed that link. They're wanting $15 for one screw? Yikes!

Go to the sticky, download your factory service and parts manuals.

Thanks! Will do. By the way, on Mopar Parts Giant, I find 56043082AB to be the 6x9 speaker for the optional Infinity system.

That's what I was saying....the screw part number as shown in the manual (and that's through several years worth) shows up as a speaker lol2415a9b9811a784224ad6659e1927843.jpg

Haha... Sorry about that. I should have worded my post differently. What I meant to add was - it's funny how part numbers can sometimes get recorded incorrectly somewhere or another. Glad I found some replacements though. And hopefully my measurements can help others if they're ever OCD about what screws they use. ( : Haha...

If that's the case, that's a **** up through several years, though it would seem by 2008 they unfucked it. 2008 manual it's 00153754, which actually comes back to something that
makes sense lol.

The right way to do it is the way it should have been done from factory....drill it, install nutserts, bolt the speakers in.
