I just switched to full synthetic, castrol edge, on my 06 1500 at 110,000 miles. I have only had the truck since feb so I'm not sure how oil changes were done before me. I plan to change at 5k and see how it looks. If looks good still maybe I'll bump up to 6 or 7k mile changes. Plan to on my next change send in an oil sample.

I am still stuck in the Stone Age. 3k for me on my 14' CC. Haha, jk, I am approaching my first oil change too and had the same question to ask. I figured since my first oil change involved my break in period then i would change at 6k. 7k there after. Owners Manuel I believe says 10k. I would feel comfortable stretching it to 8.5k. Only reason I don't wait longer is because "things" come up in life and before you know it your looking at a 11k....12k...13k.....etc oil change.

It might not matter to you (because some people don’t care), but be aware that Mobil 1 is not currently certified to meet the Chrysler MS-6395 standard. Just do a Google search and you will find a bunch of info out there about that. I’ve used Mobil 1 on all of my cars and trucks for the last 20+ yrs, but I will switch to Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra (if I can find it locally) on my 2014 Ram. I rather error on the side of caution if I ever have some sort of engine warranty claim. I don’t want to hand Chrysler a reason to wiggle out of covering it under warranty.

I'm going to do mine at 7000, because that's also my 30000 mark so I'll do oil and plugs.

I heard in the 2014's we don't need to change our plugs until a 100k miles?
