Does that include yourself when you get in the truck without the FOB? :hahano:
You have nooooo idea..lol

I'm a Girl Dad to a 6.5yo daughter, too.
I started late and have zero regrets!
But... I get to pull that old card once in a while ;)
My Angel challenges me regularly, and says "Dad, you're old... c'mon and get with it!"
I have to take a step back and collect myself because she's 6 going on 16..lol :)
However, she is learning ALL the old school things that my A_z_z is able to bestow on her that no one else can!
She will have the best of both worlds in her upbringing as I'm here at almost 50, and her Momma is 25 years behind me...
Don't ask, but it's a good story over drinks one day! ;)

I was living in the Ottawa Valley then.
I was seeing a great lady who is a PHD in psychology at the time.
We met on a dating app... of all things... lol
Specializing in at risk youth; a specialist in wilderness therapy.
It was okay initially. but then....
Things were okay for the start... but then it got too much for me being "Therapyized" by her!
I am an only child and moreover don't jive with that type of... *****....
Needless to say, I was, at the time a Manager at a Wally World for a good while...
I was in the front line and there was this super hot girl who wouldn't let it go....lol
We hooked up... it was insane in every way....
Her motto was that spitters are quitters... I'll leave it all to you to interpret it from here ;)
Needless to say... I ended my relationship with the therapist, I got married, and now I have an amazing 6.5yo daughter that is the absolute light of my life.
Her mom and I are best friends and live about 2km's apart from one another.
Moving forward, we are best friends and have an amazing relationship where we co-parent our BB Girl ;)
I could delve deeper, but this is info enough for y'all! ;)

The rest of the story is truly a Jerry Springer episode... you have no idea!
One day... my FN memoirs will be be published!
Its been written out already, believe it or not! ;)

Valvoline has different levels of oil filter, apparently they think we are stupid and they charge 16 bucks for blended filters. My guess they are going after m1 filters with their marketing. I'm not sure how freak'n hard it is to make a filter that wont stiffen. It looks an aweful lot the fe2 only with paper, those end caps are unique and look like a match to the fe2. I mean this is frustrating, how stupid are these companies? They charge more then the fe2 which is synthetic and use plastic everything, what gives? Apparently paper/sg is their 20k mile filters and is their top of the line filter.

From Valvoline..

Our filter media has a greater percentage of synthetic media fibers enabling the capture and holding of an increased amount of dirt and debris

Well, the full synthetic Fram Endurance China filter for my truck is $12.95 at Wally World.

Going to order one and use it instead of the one Fram Ultra I have left without a hole in it. When I ordered the Ultra a good while ago, I could have sworn it was all synthetic, but not according to the box and what I see of the filter.

I lost faith in the Ultra after really looking over the one I took out of the box this weekend.

Here's hoping China filters are better that Brazil filters.

Never let it be said your too old to learn something new. I appreciate all the information you guys have shared regarding oil and oil filters. The 2020 5.7 I purchased this fall is due for an oil change here pretty soon. At least I know what I'm going to be looking for as far as oil and oil filter. Thanks for the lesson.

Just had a light come on in the ancient gray matter riding above my shoulders. A while back I came across a filter that was allegedly full synthetic. It was apparently made by Fram for Advanced Auto Parts and sold exclusively under their name . I don't know where it is made and cannot remember the marketing name applied to it. I never looked into to it as I figured it was probably the same as the equivalent Fram Ultra placed in a different box. It was a couple of dollars more expensive than the Fram filter.

I online-ordered a Fram Endurance filter from Wally World and it says Product of USA on it. It also showed up the same day.
I think the most popular screw on filters are made here. It appears the cartridge filters like the Pentastar takes are sourced out.

My China Endurance filter is supposed to be here today. I will compare it against the Brazil Ultra filter and see what the differences are.

Oops. Just checked and my filters won't be here until tomorrow, maybe. Instead of shipping from a local store, which when I ordered, claimed they had them in stock, the order is coming from Indiana.

UPS is showing my RP 20-820 filters, ordered earlier in the week, are "out for delivery" and expected to arrive this afternoon from myautoparts123-dot-org in Wisconsin.

EDIT: oops, that's myautoparts123-dot-com
I hate when I get com on my org.
