Oil spec question

I need to change oil soon. 2014 hemi. Need to know specific oil to get. Went to Napa and was hoping they could look it up but guy at counter could not do it even though the last time st same store a guy could. What do I need to do?

Ram truck recommends 5w20 for the 5.7 hemi. Penzoil platinum and penzoil conventional both cover the spec however a lot of guys have a lot of opinions so use what is easy for you to find. My local Walmart sells penzoil platinum and if I’m feeling frisky I’ll buy penzoil ultra from amazon for a couple dollars more per 5qt jug. I like running 5w30 myself though since my truck gets used a bit more as a truck and not so much as a personal transport.

My owners manual also says 5W-30 is acceptable if 5W-20 isn't available,lol. This is from my 700 page printed owners manual for my 14,the manual most guys don't have.Read the note at the bottom

Ignore most of our comments,as i see you have a 6.4,not a 5.7. A few guys are running 5W-40 in their 6.4's.Check out the oil threads for what to run in your 6.4.

When unsure go to your local dealer, go to the parts department they’ll ask for the last few digits of your vin and hand you some quarts and a filter. If you go the aftermarket world there are plenty of oil threads you can read through (for a few days)

6.4 calls for 0W-40 Pennzoil Utra Platinum. They even label the jugs with "SRT" now. If you look at my avatar, you will see I have the 6.4

If you have other questions, you can read through as many pages of synthetic oil thread as you can stand.
