I have a 2016 ram 5.7 hemi, and i noticed oil stains on the engine block on the passenger side. I checked oil level and its fine and i have no drop in oil pressure but today getting home from work i could smell the oil and was light smoke. The truck wasn’t overheating or anything and was like normal. Any suggestions on where to start looking into it? Truck has 78,000 miles on it and i havent done anything to it engine wise.

If it was the valve covers it would be stained from the cover down but there is a dry spot just under the cover so it's most likely not that. I would suggest, as crackerjack1957 wrote, to check for a coolant leak.

Clean it off with brake cleaner and pay attention to where it is coming from

Could it be residual oil from a filter change? Might have migrated from below. The oil sending unit is also in the same area, this leak is coming up from below. Good luck
