Normal oil temp for 16 2500 tradesman 6.4 hemi crew cab....I was idling at 239 degrees after driving about an hour, is that a temp I should be worried about? Outside temp was about 95 degrees.

Seems normal but my 4.7 hasn’t hit over 204 even when i’m beating on it in the nearly 112° california heat.Normal oil temp for 16 2500 tradesman 6.4 hemi crew cab....I was idling at 239 degrees after driving about an hour, is that a temp I should be worried about? Outside temp was about 95 degrees.
The 6.4's use piston oil squirters to cool the pistons,so they will run a bit hotter oil temps then a 5.7 usually, but 239 is a bit excessive if you weren't working the engine hard. Cheapest thing would be to try a differant oil and filter combo, and see if anything changes oil temp wise. 5W-30 Redline seems to have a decent rep in the 6.4's,might be worth a try.I was just normal city driving, no extra
