Take a look at the pic in this thread and then talk to me about oil temps....500 miles of this and it ran like a top. Diesel oil will go into the 300 plus range. Not towing and mine will be plus or minus 20 degrees from the water temp.....The tranny coolers on the 6 speeds are amazing.....

I towed a Ford Explorer recently and with the trailer it was around 7k and my oil temp was on par maybe 5 higher than my coolant temp so your pictures have me wondering what is different in the 13s or do you not have the Engine oil cooler like my build sheet says I have. The 6 speed tranny coolers are amazing on a 7% grade near me my tranny temp going up that grade in either direction towing anything will not break the 160
mark so I am in agreement with you.

Everyone can find the lines for the tranny oil cooler, no one that I know of has seen lines for an engine oil cooler. I have the heavy duty cooling package and don't have an engine oil cooler that I can find. Dunno....

NPT thread? You didn't need any tape.

If you've been fine with white tape - you also would have been fine with *no* tape.

Petroleum products will eat the white tape.

Yes they were NPT, I've read I didnt have to use them, but I did anyways.
