I get that i didnt like the 4th gens at first but i can 100% say il never own a 5th gen they look like crap and look cheaply made doesn't look like a ram.:D
Glad they are making the classic another year.

Ride in a loaded one and you won't think cheap. My buddy's 19 Rebel interior is amazing. Probably the nicest vehicle I've ever been in interior wise. Exterior wise it depends on the model I prefer the Rebel look. My 17 probably looks a bit meaner

But the GOAT look truck IMO is the 5th gen 2500.

That is funny. My little guy was 7yrs old when I got my 2017 Ram 1500. I let him sit in the middle spot up front once when we had 6 people in it. He was in his glory sitting up front center. Looking at the center of the steering wheel he asked "Dad?? Is that a goat?". LOL.

On topic, I'm happy to see any particular make/model vehicle have a long production run. This is unprecedented today.

I love both 4th and 5th gen Rams. I'm just not into massive touch screens and roof sized sunroofs, etc. I like my truck to be a truck, so I hope 5th gens still offer basic trim packages.

That would be the tradesman trim. All the things you need, nothing you don't

Do they still offer the express and SLT trims on the 5th gens? My 2017 was an express and my current 2019 classic is an SLT. Some options like power windows/locks, blueToof and Sirius/XM are a must.. Let's be reasonable. LOL!

I know I should probably look it up.

Power windows and locks are standard.

Although I believe a regular cab is available with crank windows.

The Slt trim is available but not orderable it is for rentals.

They do not have the express yet...but you can outfit a tradesman like one still

I'll have to try that line next time I'm at a bar
I had to quote this since I'm currently at the bar and it makes total sense to me right now.

The 5th gen 2500s look good. I prefer my 2017 over it, but it's nice.

The 5th gen 1500s look like a Toyota Tacoma. No thank you. (For me personally)

The new version has it's place, but the Classic is just that, Classic. I just got a used 2019, always loved the looks of this truck. Love the 5.7 Hemi, actually have seen 24 mpg sometimes and so much power. I just wish the aftermarket sites would get their act together and list the 1500 Classic so I can stop putting 2018 1500 when shopping.View media item 29621

I agree, that is annoying. But some do.

When I bought my 2019 5th Gen CrewCab Bighorn exactly 1 year ago yesterday, the Classic Quad Cab was selling for MORE than the 5th Gen that had way more equipment and the 8.4 vs. smaller screen radio !!! I would definitely bought the Classic, but the price didn’t justify buying an outdated truck with less offerings ! I tried to reason this with the sales guy but no avail ! I’m glad I got the newer 5th Gen !!!11270BDA-B041-4827-B2A9-A873D5FDD2B0.jpeg

I dont think the gen5 looks cheap in any way. However, I dont care for the crease or indent on the doors though. And with the new hood I wouldnt be able to add my personal rally stripes properly -some people may not like those either, but everyones taste is different and I am glad they are. We all agree on RAMs atleast!!DSC00552.JPG

I do see one down side. It does work to lower our resale value a bit. Elk Grove Ram in CA is selling new Classic Crew Cab 1500 Laramie Eco Diesels 4X4s for $37k. 2x4 Laramie Eco's for $34k. Tradesman Eco Diesels 4X4s for $33k. At least 45 of each model to choose from.

I bought my '17 Laramie from them the same way. I figured at the time buying a new Laramie at $23k off of MSRP would be great since I'd avoid a massive amount depreciation. But the bottom has fallen out of our used market in Nor Cal as long as these Classics keep hitting the market.
