I have tyc's and really want to open them up and put in FXR projectors and all white drls, and clear corners. How many people have done this and how frustrating is it.

It’s not too bad, preheat the oven to 235 degrees then bake for 30 min and it’ll come right apart.

Then while warm I used a standard (straight) screwdriver to scrape glue from the housing. Then laid a new butyl rope in the groove and rebaked it for 30 min before inserting the lens. Reinserting the lens can be tricky but take your time. Then make sure you squeeze the two pieces together well. Start by inserting the outer point first then working toward the inside high beam edge.

I did the Morimoto D2S 4.0 in mine.e05ab59b9e5b96a77c3a68d7cdfdde6e.jpg

Reverse pliers work well too. It takes a few oven trips to open up.
