Started with a set of alum SRT-10 wheels i picked up off Dubstep.
Started out by cleaning them really well, acid washed and then hit them with a 360 grit scotch bright pad.

Then i hit it with a single coat so far of duplicolor etching primer. Ill sand it between coats before i start color steps. Hopefully tomorrow.

I'll be more of a fan when they are painted.... it's a crap ton of work to custom paint them instead of just shoot them black.

Tomorrow i will back mask starting at the wheel lip with a 1/4 vinyl tape as a guide then run a 1/8" vinyl tape that will keep the red once i shoot them black. For now its bed time.

No, I got impatient and just got rattle cans...
I'm not all set up with air in the workshop shed yet, haven't got to plumbing the air lines from the pump house where I have the Air compressor. I have a 150' of 3/8 hose stretched through the yard to get air out to is but want more volume in the line that long for painting... I'm slacking on the project and my impatience to get things done on the projects doesn't help.... more than likely I will end up redoing them later

Yep, that's all there is to see. There is literally nothing else in that picture! Lol

Now on a second look trying to not let the sweet sweet chassis distract me.... I kinda like how those Lambo wheels look...

Hey, the rattle can work well too. I've done it many times of engine parts, wheels brakes etc..

True, just not liking how the duplicolor nozzle is atomizing... might also be cause I was pushing the low side of the temp range.... also due to my impatience. Probably should wait till it gets back up to the 80's and not so much moisture in the air.
