First thing I will start off with is the poll. I am looking at getting my truck painted (the bed) because I have some rust spots from some scratches. I currently have a black and red pinstripe going down the truck as seen kinda in the picture below. My poll is should I have them re-pinstripe the truck or remove pinstripe for good?

The next questions I have are:

1. I also have a rust spot that is hidden. I was thinking of sanding it down and then putting some POR-15 on it. Would this be a good option? How good is POR-15?

2. Anyone ever get a good paint work done from MAACO? I have gone to several body shops and the quotes ranged from $1400-$1631. Now I will pay that, thats fine, but curious about MAACO. I have always heard bad reviews about the MAACO business and would like to see everyone elses opinions.

Iv done removed the pinstripe from mine because of the dodge rams body there is no need in breaking the body up where its located it does not do the truck good Now If There was A roll in the body right there or a body ridge then yeah maybe I just think the Rams body looks better without A Break in it My Opinion

I like pinstripes on a lot of vehicles, Gen 3+ Rams just don't look right with em IMO.

POR15 is designed to be applied onto surface rust, it doesn't bond to bare metal.
I would sand / prime / paint (rattle cans are fine) over POR15 m'self.

Don't let MAACO touch your truck. They'll f*ck it up more than they'll help.

I prefer a clean look. About the rust, you can also use Chassis Saver. Much cheaper than por-15 but works good.

I have heard of chassis saver before and was curious about that. It seems chassis saver you have a lot less prep work to do, but is it as good/better then POR-15?
