Hello Guys,
I followed what the Mopar.ca site suggested as an upgrade for speakers for my truck and ordered the 77kick42 which will go in to the front doors and dash...
However reading a few threads here I noticed that the 77kick28ab is for the non-alpine system? Is this because the tweeters are 8 ohm and comes with built in capacitors acting as bass blockers? I actually couldn't find any info that states that these tweeters are 8 ohm...
Is there any way to install the 77kick42 in a non-alpine 8.4 uconnect with 6 speaker setup? Is there any way to convert the dash speakers to 8 ohm and bass block, etc? I don't want to return these and wait for the exchange to be shipped again. It's taking forever already as it is to get here.
I have a 2015 ram 1500 sport with crew cab. it has the 8.4 screen non-alpine system.
As I was reading other posts, I noticed people usually talking about what they would prefer installing or suggesting other brands and type of setups, creating side topics, etc... and usually the main question and the topic gets lost. Please only reply with this specific topic regarding using mopar branded kicker 3.5' dash speakersfound in 77kick42 and their ohm rating and crossover/bassblock features.
Thanks,
