In the next month or so i will be ordering a new ram. Im probably going to be going after an outdoorsman, but i want to get the 20" rims that come on the sports. Every dealer i go to tells me that those rims are impossible to get on an outdoorsman because he cant warranty the wheels since they aren't packaged on the outdoorsman. Ive even called the customer service number on rams website and got the same answer. If I'm going to special order a truck i should be able to order what ever rims i want. They all say i have to buy the wheels strait up aftermarket. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1359345907.185728.jpg

I agree. If your going to order a truck....you should be able to get whatever wheels you want. With that said. You can find a much better wheel in the after market, at a better price than what you can get from Mopar.

I'll share something with ya; we started looking at SLTs, and worked out way up the Sport because it had everything we liked, 20's included. The whole reason we bought a truck and ditched the Caravan was to pull a trailer, but it turns out the 20's REALLY limit you on tire choices if the truck will do any work. The stock Goodyear Wranglers SUCK, and really need replacing, but what to do??
Just sayin'- maybe the 17s aren't so bad. Lots of LT tire choices for 17s.

You don't want the 20s. That's the whole reason to buy an Outdoorman -- to avoid the horrible 20" GY HPs. The Outdoormans come with LT Silent Armor Pro Grades which are 10x better than the OE 20" HPs. If you want an Outdoorman, you'll be happy with the 17s. Later, you can upgrade if you wish. I agree though, the 20s look better, and 17s look a little small. However, I'd take functionality > looks in this case.

Why do you want the outdoorsman and not the Sport? Money?

I agree about the wheels, they're good looking and one of the reasons I'm ordering the Sport. I also loath chrome which makes it an easy decision.

I don't care about tire choices though. 99% of my driving is at 70+ MPH on a 4 lane divided highway.

I show 20" wheels as a 1400 dollar option on the Outdoorsman, but I don't know what design they are.

No its not the money, its all that comes standard on the outdoorsman and it has the two tone paint. I realize i can add on all the things that sportsman comes with to the sport i just figured id go with the outdoorsman. Not to mention I'm not a fan of the dual tail pipes and the new projector head lights.

tell them what ever dealer you will be ordering the truck through they wont have a deal unless they do it for you and watch how fast the get them for you. with what you will be spending I would think that rims would be the easiest thing to get you.
