I have the six inch long arm bds on my 2500 Laramie and the stealership is trying to tell me the original rims and tires cannot be used with this kit. My buds are telling me it would be no prob to use them. I know it will look stupid but my 20 inch rims with 37 inch tires just won't do for the winter here in Alberta. plus the salt will prob ruin the rims.

Thoughts.......

Pretty sure the stealership is correct. The factory 20s will not work with that lift kit. Or would require some sort of spacer.

Ahh yes but my truck is the 2500 diesel with 17s and that's what my buds said it won't work on the half tones with factory 20s but its no prob on the one tones with factory 17s

The 20s I referred to are my 20x10 hostage aftermarket rims.

You could do it
With te factory offset and a 35/37 you may rub on your control arm at full lock (may not depending on your aftermarket control arm) but it won't hurt anything except maybe take some paint/powder coat off the control arm where it rubs

I'm not sure if you are misunderstanding me or if I'm missunderstanding you lol

I want to remove my 20x10 with 37x12.5x20 and use my stock 17 inch rim with stock 265 70 17 rubber for the winter.

Dealership says it won't work cause of the lift. Buds say what's the diff it's the stock wheels.

O I thought you were going to run a larger tire on te stock wheel

Only problem with that is te truck will sure look silly, maybe a little wobbly lol

Your lift kit doesn't change anything that would make you need more or less offset or a bigger wheel
