My 2013 Lonestar had 91K miles on it, so I figured it was time to make a switch-a-roo. The newsed truck is a 2015 Big Horn with 35K miles on it. Basically the same trim levels. Both were/are 4x4 with the 5.7 Hemi. The biggest differences are the new one has a bench seat (now I can fit my family of 6), and I went from a 3.21 to a 3.94.

I had the dealer swap my tires and my step rails. And, I took my bed cover off before I even went to the dealer.

Nice choice, my fellow Texan...you gonna peel the stickers off your B pillars? I think I'll look good on your rig; plus it'll make it faster!

There's a pretty good chance. I'm actually OK with the black pillars. But, on my 2013, they started peeling within warranty, so I had them replaced under warranty. Considering I'm almost out of warranty, I have a feeling these will peel after warranty, so.... away they will probably go.

I need to hit the Googles and find some pics of white pillars to compare.

Nice Trucks! Both of them!
I like the black vinyl personally, especially on the lighter colored trucks. Did you pull off your engine mods?

Yep, I pulled off my Vararam and separator. The salesman surprised me and moved my slush mats over (I forgot to grab those). I don't do mufflers, so I couldn't do that on my own, but I had the Magnaflow installed the day I picked up my new ride. That's like the heartbeat of my truck. Gotta have that!

Congrats on the upgrade!

Thanks!

I went from a silver 2003 Lone Star to a white 2016 Long Horn. I love the white and have been complimented on it. As you know my fellow Texan, white is the ticket under the Texas sun. As I type, it's 105 in the shade right now.

Congrats on the upgrade! How much of a difference did you notice with the lower gears?

It doesn't get Texas hot here in PA, however this past week has been hot. Especially Sunday, Monday and Yesterday. Monday the forecasted high was 100 and high humidity and it felt every bit of it. Mid to upper 90s the entire stretch. I'll take it any day over the freeze our butts off highs in the teens we had this past winter, which was miserable. The older I get the less and less I like the cold.....especially that cold.

Hey, we had a cold front roll through this week. Yesterday was a chilly 97.

No love for the $$. And, honestly, no, I don't dig that new front end.

Congrats on the upgrade! How much of a difference did you notice with the lower gears?

Holy crap, these new gears can get out from under me if I'm not careful! Loving it!

Went on a business trip to Hershey a few weeks back. It was 105 in Austin and I don't think it even hit 80 on the golf course in PA.

Congrats on the upgrade......you'll be a "cool dude" in white.

Thanks!
