Overhead Console Light Replacement
Has anyone had any experience in replacing the ambient light in the overhead console? I replaced mine with a single red LED with some modification and it shines dimly on the armrest which was challenging to aim. Has anyone else done this? Looking for other ideas. I think I want something just a touch brighter or a different color but I know what I went through the first time was a PITA. Thanks all!

Did you have the factory LED console to start with? Mine is very dim. I know there is something wrong with it but Im not paying a dealer to figure it out. If you had the LED one, how did you solder/change the LED bulb? Its built onto the board.

Have you tried putting a small piece of colored film over it??? I have some scrap yellow from covering my fog/led light bar, I'll give it a try tonight and see if it makes a difference.
