Hello,
I have a 2004 dodge ram 1500 with 4.7, and automatic transmission.
I’m getting p0175 and p02097 as codes.
The truck feels like it’s misfiring and is idling very rough. As well as excessive white smoke. When I pick up speed it seems to get better. I changed the oil pressure switch and that’s all that’s been replaced within past year. (Besides some suspension stuff and oil changes)
I just wanna get truck running smooth, don’t really care about CEL. Will cutting/removing the O2 sensors have any effect? Or is there anything I can bypass?
Some backstory. Had the truck for about 5 years and never really had issues. Speed limit where I live is 30mph so if there was any problem at higher speeds I wouldn’t know. Parts are very hard to get here, and getting parts will take a month minimum. Things are expensive to ship here so I can’t just swap parts in and out. There are not many auto shops here that are familiar with dodge. (We only have Ford, Toyota, and Nissan dealership)
