I have a 2004 ram with the 4.7. I’ve had issues with the code P0344. I’ve checked the sensor and wiring. All seems okay. I get 5 bolts on the signal and voltage wires and the ground wire is good too. The sensor works as it should too. I checked it with a multimeter and by passing a piece of metal in front of the sensor and it works. The engine had been professionally rebuilt before the issue popped up. When I installed the engine it was running perfect. After a couple of days the code came up and I haven’t been able to figure out what’s the issue. Help please

GustavoF78 any luck figuring this out?

My truck (03 4.7)was running great and after changing the spark plugs i got the same P0344 code. I verified the wiring, replaced timing components with new, replaced sensors with mopar sensors, even went back to replace the coils with NGKs, but the code still shows up after a short drive. The last thing on my list to replace is the PCM but i read in another thread that an update to the PCM could be the trick.
