Evening all, I’m Tony near Philly. Moved from England 5 years ago and have the pleasure of owning a 2017 Rebel Hemi. Awesome ride, you can’t drive trucks this size in the uk, for starters you wouldn’t be able to park it anywhere, and 10 bucks per gallon would bankrupt me. Looking to do some mods and hoping to pick your brains for the best way of going about it. Currently only blacked out the skid plate, changed flares and put some hood and window defectors on there. Just ordered a Flowmaster Siper 10, some magnum steps, Go Rhino Sport Bar and some suitable LED pods. Busy week or two ahead.
Cheers for having me and Stay safe

Welcome. Great looking truck and good start to your modding based on your list. Which flares did you put on?

This was my first mod and a mistake. I went for budget flares and although they fit they are not as secure as I want. I took them off the other week to see what she’d look like without them, as it has 2in spacers, and they have scuffed the paint quite bad. Tried polishing compound and a buffer which removed most of the issue, but not enough to make me happy. Now I’m going to have to get the paint work touched up, see what it looks like without flares and if I’m not happy go for the pocketed Mopar ones which I like

Even if you get the Mopar ones I would recommend that you get some PPF (paint protection film) to put under the lip of the flares to protect paint if you get it touched up. People with OEM flares have posted pics of paint marred from flares as well.

The method I saw and plan to use is mock up new flares, use a fine point dry erase marker, outline flare edge on paint, remove flare without smudging line; then install PPF up to the marker line to protect under flares.

Just so advice I’ve picked up on from this forum over the years.

Welcome to America and the forum from another 2017 Rebel owner!

I've been wanting to blackout my front brush plate too, but I was thinking just buy a black one so I don't have to worry about paint chipping and all that jazz. They're about $200 USD, so that'll probably be my next mod after Xmas.
