Just got a carven exhaust (thanks to a member here). Wondering if I could hit it with high temp black spray before I put it on. Don't see why I couldn't just figured I'd check first that high temp would be the right stuff.

Absolutely you can, use hi-temp exhaust paint. Problem is it won't stay nice looking for long.

All of the high heat / engine paint I'm finding requires curing. Can't exactly fit the exhaust in the oven haha. Any recommendations on a good product to use?

We use VHT the higher temp one on our harley pipes when we build our own. The curing is done with just letting it idle for a couple minutes at a time in increasing lengths.

You will see the paint change it's sheen as this process is done.

Have had very good results doing this and lasting 15 plus years.

Ive painted exhaust before, it stinks for a long time and eventually burned off, especially if you paint the manifolds.. i suppose it depends on the quality of paint, i may not have used the best hi temp paint so i didnt have the results i expected
