Installed a new rear aftermarket bumper and now in reverse the parking sensors are alarming the whole time in reverse?

Is there something I need to check?

Bumper is chassis unlimited octane series

Was it DIY or a shop?

Sensors are picky, previous truck I installed tow points on the front to flat tow it. They didn’t protrude; fit in exactly where the tow hooks were. Nonetheless after that the sensors were not happy; they gave me false positives quite often.

Diy.

I don't see anything that would be causing a false reading

I did not disccont each sensor, only removed it from the main connection the to truck.

All sensors locked into tabs, only thing I can think of is maybe because the bumper is thicker?

My thought is they might be picking up the kickout above the receiver

Are they going from a plastic bumper to a metal one?
Maybe the metal affects them somehow.

Could they be calibrated to specific angles?

There are sensor relocation kits you can get On Amazon or Google. I think they have a way to bypass the false readings and set up a new distance

Could be the sensor orientation is off. Pretty sure if rotated sideways they don't work properly.

I got a Road Armor bumper. Same issue with parking sensors. The instructions said I needed to order new bezel rings for the painted bumper:
Front
5ls52tzzaa outer
5ls53tzzaa middle
5ls54tzzaa inner

Still working on trying to find them from anyone other than Mopar who wants $25 per plastic bezel ring
