Sooo, looking on the ram 2017 1500 chart the payload says 1600 but my door sticker says 1167. Could someone explain which I should be using? Thanks

The chart is a generic figure that gives you a rough idea for your year of 1500 but that's about it. Your door sticker is the exact rating specific to your truck with all of your specific options as it rolled off the factory floor.

Chart shows capacity before all the factory options are installed in a generic truck.. The sticker is the actual capacity of the specific, optioned truck with that VIN.

For the exact amount you check the door sticker for the GVWR then weigh the truck, the difference is the payload capacity.
While we are on the subject, you also have to keep in mind what the GAWR(s) are and not exceed those either. The GAWR is on the same sticker with the GVWR.
