Aka..paint less dent removal, anybody ever had this done? Got a few dents I'm getting fixed today and he couldn't give me an estimate without looking at it first. Just trying to get an idea on how much it costs, couldn't be more than a few hundred bucks I'd expect!

Our paint shop in Texas has a guy that comes in once a week to do their PDR jobs. They told me one time that he charges $40 for the first dent and $20 for each additional dent. Hope that helps.

I had my hood and roof done after a hail storm. I paid the guy $80 in cash.
That being said, he was doing me a favor as a friend.

It really depends on what's involved in getting to the dents / how long it takes.

I had a large dent in the door of my '02. Guy wanted to charge me $300. Saw an add at the local dealer for $40 a panel, so I took it there. Took him all of 15 min. He comes to the dealer once or twice a week, and knicks out 5 to 10 cars/trucks each time.

You may wanna check with your local to see if they offer the service. I I think a pdr warranty is offered at POS if you want it.

Have had a few things done all by the same guy who used to do it at the dealerships. Not sure what his normal rate is but I know he comes wherever we ask and he is it fast and cheap.

It usually isn't to much
My cousins had a friend who came into his dealership and would knock out like 4-5 cars in two hours

I used to work for a PDR shop and they would usually start @ $75/panel for light dents, around $100/panel for larger size or quantity.

Just dont let them drill holes in your door jamb. A good shop will always trim out the door.

I had two removed on mine (after I stupidly dropped a box on the hood). Long story.

It was $160; and I'd have paid him $300 to not look at the stupid two dents that I caused.

He was a little on the pricey side, but he was the only one willing to set up an appointment to get it done. Everyone else said they'd call me back, or check their schedule, or some other bs.

Still, in my case, it was worth it.

Ok guys so time to spill the beans lol..I told the story on another forum but Ill fill you guys in! I was washing my trucks roof, and instead of getting the ladder out like normal..I decided to stand on my bed rail to get the roof and leaned over and my knee and elbow dented the roof. I felt like a moron, it was no ones fault but my own lol. So I got some quotes and they are $300-350, for the paintless dent repair. I think its more because they would have to take my headliner down.
I think I may try to fix it myself, but Im not 100% sure they can just bang out from the other side. I may bite the bullet and deal with it, as Im sure its not going to be my last dent! What would you guys do??

We've all learned expensive lessons.
I'd say $300 sounds kinda steep, but I don't know.

Personally I would try to bang it out myself. Either try from the inside or go to an auto store that sells one of those suction cups that you can attach to the dent and pull it back up. That's probably gonna be less destructive than trying to bang it up from the inside of the roof. Good luck man!
