Performance chips - opinions please

So I have read many post that basically say Performance chips are snake oil. But also many people swear by them. I would really want to know if anyone has done a true comparison of with and without one. Its just when i see something like this

Loads and loads of Better Business Bureau complaints. I am no expert but reviews are crap.
One fella opened his up and found it wasn’t even connected up properly.
This actual company, not chips in general, get bad reviews and multiple BBB complaints

Junk! It improves air fuel mixture? How does it do that the O2 sensors will correct the ratio excepts for WOT, not saving much fuel WOT!

You will be better off with a programmer vs. an inline module.

The biggest performance upgrade you can make is getting rid of your 3.6 and getting a Hemi before they stop making them.
