I pretty much have the exterior of my truck the way it's going to stay. Took some advice, tinted my tails and 3rd brake light with Nightshades. Tow mirrors are also new.

I have reasoning why I keep them up - I can see MUCH better. The side-by-side mirrors with them down could have gotten me into 2 wrecks my first few times driving like that - too confusing. Enough with the talk - picture time!

Hung around long enough a train was headed that way. I was going to wait for him to get closer and get a better picture - but the conductor probably had no clue what I was doing....didn't want to cause any worry just over a picture so I got this one then backed farther off the tracks.

And a couple mirrors DOWN

And a shot of the tails in good light -

I did....doesn't look like it though does it? Oddly enough, the tails came out looking flat while the 3rd brake light came a little glossier. I used the same exact process on both so it's got me baffled.

Nice shots

As long as you weren't wearing red by the tracks, and you were far enough away from the tracks the conductor wouldn't worry much. Just make sure you move closer to your truck after the photo.

this happened when when i did my 02. i never could figure it out.
all you have to do for the tails to shine them up is hit them with 2000 grit paper and buff them out. theyll look like glass!

btw: amazing truck man! great pics!

I was not wearing red...sounds like that was a good thing!

I'm betting they carry binoculars to see down the track don't they....he probably saw me from way back anyway.

tail lights...no. The 3rd brake light is a little glossy. I'm ok with them not being shiny though really...goes with the look IMO.

Great shots Matt and Kevin
I plan on getting some neat train shots, will just have my dad drive as he is a railroad employee and can get into some neat places.
