Just got home...about 2 hrs ago. So, that means we left at about 10:45am, and got home at about 7pm, thats a total of 8 hrs, about 6.5 of it drive time. Stopped to get fuel once, stopped a frew times to fix the C10 (thats a long story), stopped at Iowa 80 truck stop (holy chrome!!) and stopped for about an hour in Cedar Falls to eat and meet up with a buddy.

Anyway, made it home mechanically with no issues, truck ran great and strong the whole way home, averaged 12.8 on 2nd tank of fuel (assumed the initial drive down cleaned everything up inside the engine with a nice long hot steady run time) which netted for better overall MPG on the trip back. got quite a few honks and thumbs up on the way home, had a couple teenagers in a ford SD truck about snap their necks as they stared my rigs down from behind me, all along side me and up past me.

Overall, had a GREAT weekend, finally got to put faces to names and fully intend on coming back for the second one, although maybe not with 2 trucks this time.

I got a couple I need to upload here in a few.

We left this morning a little after 8. had 2 stops for kid getting sick, and stopped at the outlet mall.

Averaged around 13mpgs so wasn't too bad. Zach had the late night getting out there Friday would not have wanted to do that.

Next time im going to leave the kid and gf at home and take the friday night before off work. Getting off work at 5:30 in the morning and back up at 10 then a 3 hour drive is for the birds!
