Man I was really stressed about that additional shock length causing too much stress on the cv's but then I actually thought about it. How many guys on here use a rough country 6" lift and also have bilstien set at 2.8 on top of it? A LOT. Rcx only drops the diff 4" so with a 6 inch lift you're already adding an additional 2" of movement to the cv, throw bilstiens on top of that and you've got a healthy vc angle going and those guys aren't eating axles like mad so what is 3.2" really going to do?
I leveled the truck within 2 weeks of buying it, it's had 3 sets of wheels, 4 sets of tires, 103k miles, tons of towing and off road and the front end is perfect. I had the alignment checked recently and it was still in spec and I haven't had it aligned since 55,000 or so. No leaking boots, no clicking when turning etc. I don't drive around in 4hi doing 55 mph, if I'm in 4wd I'm usually doing 25 or under on some god awful flooded lease road to my rig down near the border but I've never had an issue with vibration or parts wear.
Everyone's experience will be different I'm sure depending on usage because I know there are horror stories all over the net about vibrations, wheels falling off from spacers, etc but I've had every type of lift and level known to man since I got my license in 1993 and all of my trucks have been well used but not abused and I've not had an issue with anything and I wouldn't hesitate to do the same mods over again. I'm very pleased with how well it's held up.
