Pioneer TS-SW2002D2 8” discontinued?

Since the TS-SW2002D2 is discontinued can I use the Pioneer TS-A2000LD2 as a direct replacement for the factory 8” Alpine sub?

I replaced my factory sub with a Kicker CompRT 2 ohm DVC sub and was pleased with the result.
