I was washing my truck today and noticed a spot on the front bumper that looks like its rusted or pitted. I can kind of feel the texture running my hand over it, but it's not as noticeable to the touch as I thought it would be...almost like it's embedded into the chrome...

I'll get a pic posted later this evening.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I'll have to head to the dealer tomorrow. It's a '16 Ram and I'm at 28,500 miles.

Thanks.

If the stealership does nothing to remedy the situation try an iron remover like Iron-x or a clay bar and a quick detailer

Had mine replaced under warranty. Looked like the chrome was not applied in a quality manner. Pitted and thin, resulting in rust after 1 year. Hoping the new one lasts a bit longer.

Should add that the new one is rusting as well.

It happens to all of them. My 2016 it showing up with spots where rocks have hit it. It is the worst after the winter salt.

It doesn't even matter what brand of truck you buy, the way they chrome the bumpers is not the same as it use to be.

If you replace the bumper, from what I understand this can be done under warranty, I would look into getting it 3M wrapped.
