Did you take the ring off to do it or did you do it on the truck

i took it off, it pops off real easy. it has clips on each side. i didn't even have to use any tools.

very nice, i'm getting good at holding my hand over the reflection lol

I did this for to long. It was driving me insane.

If you go to do this, be careful removing that strip. I have heard of the clips hanging up on people and them snapping it. It's not hard, just be easy on it.

I just did mine this weekend as well.

The ring came off pretty easy, I used a plastic trim tool.
The only tab that gave me problems was the front left, it really did not want to let go.

I finally persuaded it to release without breaking anything.

It snapped back on quicker than it came off. :)

That's crazy, I had the same clip hang up. Those plastic trim tools are the best ever. I wrap them with a microfiber cloth when I need to detail crevices as well.

Yeah, it's a little tricky to get off, you will feel like your about to break it.

I plasti-dipped mine as well.

Not only did I feel like I was going to break it, but it was taking so long and I was getting irritated to the point where I actually thought to myself....

if I break off part of this one tab, how bad could it be???
Luckily it did not come to that.....

(Don''t tell my wife)

It pops off with some clips/tabs around it, be careful when prying it up though, I snapped part of mine .

Mine came off very easy. I used a plastic thin paint scraper and just did a little on each side.

Nice Job! I'm tired of thinking a motorcycle or cyclist is coming at me from the side as the light reflects off the ring into my side windows.

Question guys, which color plasti-dip are you using?
