I have a 1987 Dodge w250 4 wheel drive 3 quarter ton and the frame is completely rusted gone I am looking to replace the frame but I have not been able to find that many trucks that are exactly like mine so I was wondering are there any other years or model first gen frames that will work for my truck. Any advice will help thank you

Unless you have an extended or crew cab, pretty much any 81-93 4x4 frame will work. I don't believe there is any difference between 1/2, 3/4, or 1 ton frames. The 72-80 frames may have some differences but would still work in a pinch.

try to stick with the newer frames. the older frames are a lot less 'beefy' than the newer ones. I have a 78 frame sitting next to a 92. the cross members are way wider and have more 3D forming.

All the 91.5-93 cummins trucks got an updated 8" channel frame. Unsure if gas models followed suit. Everything before it was a 6" or 7"channel of different thicknesses. Crossmembers and fuel tank straps differ. Found this reference pic on ramchargercentral:frames_dodge_84.jpg
