I have a 2009 ram 1500 with a 5.7 hemi. For the last few months when I would first start driving I’d stop at a light or stop sign and the truck would stall. It would start again and maybe stall at a couple more lights and then work fine. The other day it was idling for a couple hours and when I started driving it stalled every time I stopped. I got home and as I was backing up I lost all power and giving it throttle it stalled again and won’t start now.
I have changed the TIPM and it still won’t start. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Does it misfire or just idle low and stall? also i would check to see if your alternator is charging aswell as test battery and clean connections how many miles on it?

Original problem sounds like spark (coils and plugs)
Now it just sounds like it needs a good tune up. Idleing for hours is not good for the engine. It’s most likely full of carbon and gunk

It could also be the fuel pump relay finally giving up the ghost. It's a common problem with a simple fix. But the relay is soldered to the power distribution center. A temp fix is a jumper cable to bypass the relay.

This may sound completely out of left field....

I had an '08 Ram 2500 with a Hemi. The transmission lines were leaking. I would come to a stop and it would stall, but start right back up. Came to find out that the trans fluid was low. Replaced the lines, topped off the fluid and never had the problem again.

Was it a built in fail-safe for the tranny? Don't know......

There are several things that need to be verified. First, when you turn the key to the run position listen for the fuel pump. Next, while cranking, see if you have ignition spark. Remove an ignition coil and put a screwdriver or an old spark plug in one of the coil boots and ground it. Then have someone crank it for you to see if you have spark.

A scan tool would be a big help with this so you could see that the cam and crank sensors are providing a signal to the PCM.
