I'm installing led running lights onto my grill and would like to know which wire is recommended to splice into. It should be open (no current) when the key is off but closed (has current) when the key is on, but I can't seem to find one. The lights have two wires, one goes to ground. I have a 2018 6.7 Turbo Diesel Tradesman. Thank you!

If you want the lights to be on when the headlights are on you could hook up to those lights. If you want them to be on at all times the truck is turned on you could tap into a circuit that is on whenever the key is turned on. You could then use a fuse tap to hook up fir power.

I believe on the drivers side behind the headlight there is a handful of unused wires with no connectors that are pre-wired for certain up fitter options. I'm not sure if you need a certain option for them to be there or they are there regardless. If you do have them use a test light to see when and how they receive 12v.

Another option is to tie into the parking lights
